You know the story. Boy meets Girl. Boy and Girl fall in love. Boy starts working as a tour guide. Girl starts working as a tour guide. Boy and Girl start their own tour guiding company. Tale as old as time.
We started London with a Local so we could create the kind of walking tours that WE wanted to go on. Exciting and entertaining and off the beaten path. Too many tours felt scripted and dull and didn't reflect how cool and exciting this city is, but our tours are led by brilliant people who love our brilliant city.
We can't wait to show you around!

We show you the REAL London
Quite simply, we love our City and we love getting to show it off. We see famous sites, from Buckingham Palace to the Tower of London, but we also see the hidden gems that you only find from living in a city, from the best bagel to the West End show not to miss. We're your pal with the insider knowledge!
We are Storytellers
Our guides are historians, philosophers and architects, but more interesting than that, they are performers and storytellers who can bring London to life! They are actors, musicians, cabaret performers, comedians and are much more entertaining than your standard guide!
We are affordable!
And not many London businesses can say that! London is expensive, but we are accessible and work with everyone's individual budget, whether it's £5 or £500. There is never any pressure. Even our private tours are competitively priced.

We don't work with people we don't like, and we're very lucky to call our brilliant team of guides our friends. They are truly excellent people. Not only are they filled with history facts and figures, they're also talented, fun, funny, entertaining, interesting and interested. Aren't you lucky!

What is your best recommendation as a Londoner?
Go and see a show at the Soho theatre. Cheap tickets and you'll either see something amazing or absolutely dreadful but it will never be boring.

London can technically be classed as a Forest. There are nearly as many trees as people that live in London covering over 21% of the London area.

What is the best place for lunch in London?
The markets! We have amazing food markets here, the best, IMO, are (in no particular order), Borough, Spitalfields, Camden, Seven Dials, Maltby, Greenwich, Broadway & Victoria Park, to name a few!

What's your top tip as an Irishman in London?
Through my own careful research, the Coach and Horses on Wellington Street does the absolute best pint of Guinness in the city. You can hold me to that!

There's so many! But one is: the Metropolitan Police Act of 1839 states that it is illegal to fly a kite in parks, other public areas, or in a way that annoys other people.

What's your top tip for visiting London?Download the ‘Citymapper’ app if you’re visiting London, especially if you're here for the first time. It’s a lifesaver and helps you navigate the tube like a Londoner!!

What is the best thing to do in London?
Walk! So many areas are connected and the Tube map gives a false sense of the geography. Take an epic stroll from Tower Bridge to Battersea along the South Bank and you’ll get a great overview of London.

The London Eye was meant to be temporary! Originally planned as a short 5 year installation for the Millennium, Londoners loved it so much that in 2002 it was granted permanent permission.

London's first theatre opened in Shoreditch in 1576. 22 years later, it was torn down in the dead of night, ferried across the Thames and rebuilt as Shakespeare's Globe.

What do most tourists miss out on in London?
Thames Clipper. Get on a boat and go down the river for only £8-£10! See all the sights, get drinks (there's usually a bar on board), feel the wind in your hair (or scalp).

What's the best hidden gem in London?
St Brides Church on Fleet Street. It's beautiful and has an incredible secret museum in its crypt. Also the first ever tiered wedding cake was based on its spire, (apparently).

The South Bank! The best views of the Houses of Parliament and St Paul’s. Don't miss the National Theatre, the Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and food at Borough Market.

Every building, alleyway and landmark in London has a story. The people who built it. The scandals that took place. The loves, losses and characters that helped shape this remarkable city. So many stories that are much more interesting than what year something was built, (though we'll tell you that too).
Our job is to make sure you remember those stories long after your trip ends!
